Committee for Ranked Choice Voting

Overview

The Committee for Ranked Choice Voting NYC is a group of community leaders and activists who successfully advocated to bring Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) to New York City’s local elections by passing a ballot referendum.

Approach

Wandering Zoo implemented a new project management system using Airtable to streamline email, social media, and graphic review and approval workflows under tight deadlines. Working closely with a graphic designer, the team produced a range of creative content, including custom graphics, explainer videos, and repurposed TV and YouTube ads for social media. Wandering Zoo also managed daily email and social media communications, developing engaging organic posts, drafting and coordinating email campaigns, and scheduling content across platforms to ensure consistent, effective outreach.

Goals

The RCV website, social media, and email campaign officially launched in late summer. However, only weeks before Election Day, the Committee identified a need to significantly expand and improve its online advocacy.
